Berlin School of Business and Innovation, or BSBI for short, is located in the beautiful city of Berlin, Germany. On-campus facilities: There is no provision for on-campus accommodation but BSBI has ensured that their students can find comfortable and affordable living quarters. They have partnered with organisations that would help you secure a place of your own. More information can be found on the college website. Off-campus facilities: Students whose admission has been confirmed and have got their visa and have booked their flight can begin looking for accommodation in Berlin. BSBI has partnered with agencies like Insider Apartment Community Living, GmbH and Staytoo that the students can use to get fair deals. After you have found a place of your choice, a multilingual customer service team assists you in signing the tenancy contract. Food facilities (Availability of vegetarian/Indian food): Just because you are studying abroad and liking the new experience, doesn’t mean that you won’t be missing your home. Food becomes a great cure of homesickness and maybe that is why quite a few Indian restaurants are located nearby. Restaurants like Maharaja and Namaste are great picks to satisfy your food-from-home cravings.

Scholarships are non-repayable and one student is eligible for only a single bursary or scholarship per academic year. Place description: Berlin is the capital of Germany and also its largest city in terms of area. Berlin is the most populated city of not only Germany but also of the entire European Union. One of Germany’s 16 federal states, Berlin shares the banks of rivers Spree and Havel. It is these rivers that form Berlin’s many lakes. In the 1920s, Berlin was one of the largest municipalities in the world. The city was divided after the second World War and became the capital of Germany only in 1990, after the German reunification. Today, Berlin is an important centre for culture, science, arts and media. Its economy depends on its service sector that includes media and creative industries and a range of research facilities. Important landmarks/places nearby: Wilhelmstraße murals and Holzmarkt Mural are great places to go if you love art and would like to know the city through its artsy side. Springbrunnen Victoria-Luise Platz is a place to relax if you like to be surrounded by nature. Ammonite Brunnen zoological park is just ten minutes away and can be visited if you want to spend some time with your new friends or for a class trip. Crime rate: The overall crime rate of Berlin is 42.28, which is classified as moderate. In general, Berlin is considered a safe city but it has certain places where you might need to be more careful than others. The crime rate generally varies from low to moderate depending upon the level of criminal offense. You can research some more if you need further details. Nearby Airports: Berlin’s international airport is the Berlin Brandenburg Airport which is situated 25 minutes away from the BSBI campus. With a world-class airport located this close, you wouldn’t really need to find an alternate option for your domestic and international flights. Nearby Subways and train stations: U-Bahnhof Kleistpark is the nearest transit stop from the BSBI campus as it is located just a minute away. There are several other subway stations located about 5 minutes away from the campus in case you are looking for other options located nearby. Winterfeldtplatz is the nearest bus station and is four minutes away from the campus location. Since the distance isn’t a determining factor, you can choose a medium for your daily commute based on your budget and other needs.

Location

Internships: Students who are interested in interning in the field of their interest can apply for the same with the help of JobTeaser, an online portal specially created to provide students job opportunities of their choice. Non-EU students are allowed to work 120 full days or 240 half days per year. In case they find an internship, their days would be subtracted from this quota.

Placements

In Berlin, summers are ideal for outdoor activities that can range from strolling to just sitting in a park with friends. In contrast to the warm and sunny summers, the winters in Berlin are harsh and oftentimes freezing. The temperature typically varies in the range of 29°F to 77°F. Make sure you pack your clothes while keeping Germany’s weather conditions in mind.
