About
Bishop’s College School came into existence in 1836 with its former name Lennoxville Classical School. It was founded by Reverend Lucius Doolittle, who also became the first headmaster of the institution. During the first 4 years, only twenty-three boys were enrolled and the tuition fees of 25 shillings for the Upper Forms and 15 per quarter in the Lower Forms. Campus
The university has a campus size of 550-acre having a total of 25 buildings, surrounded by mountains, rivers, and farmland. The campus has various buildings like 2 libraries, 7 residences, 2 theatres, an 800-seat arena and many more. They have various facilities like:-
- Research laboratories, a music recital hall, and a daycare. An outdoor pool and a golf course are also found on the campus.
- The athletic facilities include a newly renovated recreation and sports centre that has three gyms, an indoor pool, tennis courts, 2 full basketball courts, squash courts etc.
Campus Safety
The university has taken various steps and measures to ensure the safety and security of its students, teachers and staff. Some of which are:-
- An infirmary and a nurse which is available 24/7 on campus. They also have a physiotherapist on staff and a doctor on call for scheduled appointments.
- CCTV and security guards for surveillance and maintaining the security on campus.
