Bishop’s College School came into existence in 1836 with its former name Lennoxville Classical School. It was founded by Reverend Lucius Doolittle, who also became the first headmaster of the institution. During the first 4 years, only twenty-three boys were enrolled and the tuition fees of 25 shillings for the Upper Forms and 15 per quarter in the Lower Forms.
