Bow Valley College was founded in 1965 and the earlier name was Alberta Vocational Centre. It has been growing rapidly since 1972 to places like Calgary and East Village in Canada.
The current name Bow Valley College was adopted in 1998 when it switched to an autonomous model from a government administered model.
