History

Canterbury Christ Church University, also called CCCU, was founded in the year 1962 as a Church of England college for Teacher Training. Located in Canterbury of Kent, the vice chancellor of this university is the Archbishop of Canterbury, a part which comes along with his responsibilities as the archbishop. The university as we know it today was established in 2005. The rapidly growing university now has over 15,000 students.&nbsp;

CCCU is Kent&#39;s largest public higher education institution. After being granted the status of a university, the curriculum of the university expanded to emergency services, health and social care along with teacher training.
