Scholarships available at The City College of New York:
The City College Financial Aid Office coordinates with the administration of federal and state funds to pursue higher education at the university. The college only has a limited number of grants, work-study opportunities, loans, governmental benefits and scholarships for international students in USA. Most of the awards are "need-based", and require a student to maintain "good academic standing".
There are only a limited number of aid available for international students, applicants can apply for federal UG study loan or can work part-time under the Federal Work-study program for which the screening takes place in August. International applicants are not eligible for any need-based scholarships at CCNY, however, they may apply for external scholarships. Here are some available scholarships at City College of New York:
- Kaye Foundation Scholarship: 7340 USD; Full-time first-degree student, 3.0 GPA, and major in the Division of Humanities & Arts.
- Isaacs Scholarship: 2,500-20,000 USD; A freshman or sophomore, 3.0 GPA and 3.5 GPA in applicant English class
- Colin Powell School Scholarships and Fellowships: 10,000 USD; Essay, Resume, transcripts and recommendation letter
- The Jeannette K. Watson Fellowship: Up to 8,500 USD; Visual and written Essay, Resume, Strong academic standing, transcripts and recommendation letter
