Discovery Community College (DCC) began as Darlene Henderson Consulting in 1989&nbsp; in Campbell River. In 1992, the name was changed to LBD School of Business where LBD stood for learning by doing. The college got its current name Discovery Community College in 1999 to reflect the College as more than a business college.
