History

The East Texas Baptist University was established in 1912 in Marshall, Texas. When established this university was a college and soon gained its name as the East Texas Baptist college. The name was finally changed in 1984 once the college attained university status. Initially the college only provided two year degrees which was later changed to undergraduate degrees. There are numerous sports and residence facilities available on the campus.&nbsp;
