In 1994 ECC became a part of Edith Cowan University, which is named after a woman, called Edith Cowan Dircksey, who was elected as a member of Australian Parliament and is the only Australian college named after a woman.
Edith Cowan College was previously known as Perth Institute of Business and Technology. It has its affiliations with Edith Cowan University and Navitas group and is one among those prestigious institutions of Australia.
