Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI, colloquially known as "Ooey-Pooey") is a public collaborative university between Indiana University and Purdue University that offers undergraduate, graduate, and professional degrees from both systems. Administered primarily through Indiana University as a core campus and secondarily through Purdue University as a regional campus, it is Indiana’s primary urban research and academic health sciences institution. IUPUI is located in downtown Indianapolis along the White River and Fall Creek. 
Among more than 550 degree programs, the urban university hosts the primary campuses for both the Indiana University School of Medicine, with more than 2,000 students, and the Indiana University School of Dentistry, the only dental school in the state. Also represented among the graduate schools, the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law is one of the two Indiana University law schools, with the Indiana University Maurer School of Law being the Bloomington equivalent. IUPUI is classified among "R2: Doctoral Universities – High research activity."
The IUPUI Jaguars compete in the NCAA's Division I in the Horizon League. Several athletics venues are located on the campus, including the IU Michael A. Carroll Track &amp; Soccer Stadium and Indiana University Natatorium, the largest indoor pool in the United States with a seating capacity of 4,700.

IUPUI is Indiana&#39;s urban research and academic health sciences campus, a collaboration between Indiana and Purdue universities.

IUPUI&#39;s objective is to take Indiana and its residents&#39; intellectual growth to new heights on a national and worldwide scale via research and creative activity, teaching and learning, and civic engagement.

IUPUI supports the educational, cultural, and economic growth of central Indiana and beyond via creative collaborations, external partnerships, and a strong commitment to diversity by offering a unique range of bachelor&#39;s, master&#39;s, professional, and Ph.D. degrees.

International undergraduate students can apply for scholarships. They are based on the candidate&#39;s high school grades as well as his or her ability to communicate in English. The scholarships vary in value from $10,000 to $18,000 each year. You may also be eligible for bigger sums if you take the SAT.

The institution provides two types of undergraduate scholarships: merit-based and competitive scholarships.

	<li>A 10,000-square-foot recreational fitness centre with training equipment, free weight sections, and an MX4 studio is also located on campus.</li>
	<li>Nonremedial tutoring, a women&#39;s centre, placement service, day care, health service, and health insurance are among the student services offered by Indiana University-Purdue University&mdash;Indianapolis.</li>
	<li>Campus safety and security services include 24-hour foot and vehicle patrols, late-night transport/escort service, 24-hour emergency telephones, lit pathways/sidewalks, and controlled dormitory access at Indiana University-Purdue University-Indianapolis.</li>

Indianapolis is Indiana&#39;s capitol as well as the state&#39;s economic and political hub. IUPUI is right in the middle of it all. Tourists may see amateur and professional sporting talent, visit sporting museums, and even participate in athletic activities in the city. There&#39;s no need to be concerned if you&#39;re not interested in sports; this city is brimming with museums dedicated to history, art, and other forms of culture. Apart from that, it is recognised for its &#39;excellent Indiana friendliness.&#39;

Around 72% of graduates, according to surveys, completed at least one internship. Graduate students are employed in their subjects of study in 85% of cases. A good job result is reported by 92% of graduates.

According to the results of the US News 2020 study, the average median beginning wage of university grads is around 49,800 USD.

Summers in Indianapolis are long, hot, humid, and rainy; winters are short, very cold, snowy, and windy; and the weather is partially overcast all year. The temperature normally ranges from 22&deg;F to 85&deg;F throughout the year, with temperatures seldom falling below 3&deg;F or rising over 92&deg;F.
