History

Newcastle University was founded in 1834 with the School of Medicine and Surgery and in 1871 with Armstrong College. These two colleges merged in 1937 to establish King&#39;s College. In 1963, King&#39;s College became the University of Newcastle. prominent organisations such as the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AASCB), EFMD Quality Improvement System (EQUIS), and Association of MBAs have professionally approved more than half of the degrees provided by the institution (AMBA).
