Thomas Jefferson University located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States is a private and non-profit university located on 901 Walnut St. The earliest university was the established in 1824 and was later merged with Philadelphia University in the year 2017. The university was started as a medical school and was granted permission to provide medical degrees in 1826 after its expansion. The staff and student body has been expanding ever since with addition of various fields, buildings and courses.&nbsp;

On-campus facilities

The university provides residence facilities for students who wish to stay On-campus in the form of various residence halls namely Barringer, Martin and Orlowitz halls. The college also provides sublet service and short-term housing programs. The Barringer and Orlowitz halls are unfurnished and the rent is charged monthly whereas the Martin hall is fully furnished and the rent for the year is divided into 4 payments.

On-campus housing provides various facilities like safety, parking, eateries and fitness and health centers.

Off-campus facilities

Available scholarships and application procedure for Scholarships

96% of the undergraduate and 65% of graduate students receive financial aid at the university through various means like loans, grants, scholarships etc. Students can apply for the scholarships at the website while filling out admissions.&nbsp;

The University gives merit scholarships on the basis of admission applications to students. These are adjustable with tuition fees only and doesn&rsquo;t include any other expenses. These scholarships are renewable by maintaining a certain GPA score required for renewal. There are many Athletic scholarships available for students in sports. The university includes two campuses and a research center. The East Falls campus constitutes classrooms, laboratories, studios, Paul J. Gutman Library, student residences, exhibition gallery, Kanbar Campus Center, Innovative DEC Center, LEED Gold Center for Sustainability, Energy Efficiency and Design and the Gallagher Athletic, Recreation and Convocation Center.

The Downtown campus includes medical offices, the hospital Jefferson Health and the campus for students.

Manayunk Research Center located in a restored textile factory includes the laboratory for Engineered Human Protection and the Engineering and Design Institute.
