Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters are high-level integrated study programmes at master level. The programmes are designed and delivered by an international partnership of higher education institutions from different countries worldwide.

Erasmus+ funds scholarships for students to take part in these programmes. The masters programmes themselves offer these scholarships to the best-ranked student applicants worldwide, in annual application rounds.

EU scholarships cover the cost of a student's participation in the programme, travel, and a living allowance.

Most consortia require applications to be submitted between October and January for courses starting the following academic year. Students and potential scholars/guest lecturers should contact the relevant consortium directly for more information on courses and application procedures.

The Mathematics Foundation Jacques Hadamard (FMJH) is offering scholarships for a period of one or two year(s) for French and foreign students. The institutions members of the FMJH are supporting the Master "Mathematics and applications". The Sophie Germain Scholarships are intended for students who want to enroll in one of the programs (apart from the track "Formation a l'Enseignement Superieur en Mathematiques") of this master.

A jury selects the laureates applying the criteria defined by the Scientific Council of the FMJH, the main selection criterion being excellence. Since this program aims to encourage young talents to orientate themselves towards research in mathematics, applicants are asked to give careful attention to the writing of their motivation letter in their file.

The applicants to the first call of the Sophie Germain master's scholarships can simultaneously apply to a PhD Track scholarship, just by mentioning it in their application form to an M2 master scholarship.

Through the PhD Track scholarships, the FMJH wishes to bring a particular attention to students with very high potential by offering them a financial support during the whole duration of their graduate studies, from master (M2) to PhD.

How does it work?

Funded students must meet the academic requirements of the master's program and develop a PhD project with a supervisor from the Hadamard Mathematics Doctoral School. Once the master's degree is validated, the Hadamard Doctoral School of Mathematics board must validate the PhD project so that the student can benefit from additional funding to pursue his/her doctorate.

International master's scholarships programme IDEX - academic year 2022-2023

The Lebesgue Center is an international maths laboratory, focusing on training and researching in fundamental and applied mathematics. We are situated in the western part of France: Brittanny and Pays de le Loire in the following cities: Rennes, Nantes, Brest, Vannes and Angers.

Shikhar Thales scholarship

For the year 2024-2025, the University of La Reunion (UR) is offering 9 scholarships to study for a Master 2 and obtain the Master degree.

These scholarships are intended for students from countries in the Indian Ocean region (South Africa, Australia, Comoros, Eswatini, Ethiopia, India, Kenya, Lesotho, Madagascar, Maldives, Mauritius, Mozambique, Pakistan, Seychelles, Sri Lanka, Tanzania), who have obtained a Master 1 or 2 degree from a university in one of the programme's partner countries, and who would like to study for their Master 2 degree at the University of Reunion and, if possible, to pursue a doctoral thesis there.

The programme is proposed and managed by the UR's International Relations Department (DRI).

25 Masters degrees in 5 fields (Science and Technology; Human and Environmental Sciences; Law, Economics and Management; Humanities; Health) are accessible with this scholarship.

Applicants from countries applying the CEF procedure (South Africa, Comoros, India, Kenya, Madagascar, Mauritius), must apply on the "Etudes en France" platform, respecting its procedure and calendar.

Applicants from other countries must apply on the University of La Reunion website between 1st April and 3rd May ("e-candidat" procedure).

"Horizon" Scholarship (Excellence scholarship at Master 2 level from the University of La Reunion for students from the Indian Ocean area)

The "import" part of the International Scholarships Programme of ENAC Endowment Fund is aimed at welcoming the best international students in ENAC programmes (Masters, Advanced Masters and ENAC Ingenieur).

The ITI HiFunMat is a Graduate School (Master's and PhD continuum) which offers high level transversal and interdisciplinary training. In order to recruit high-potential students, regardless of their geographical origin or financial situation, ITI HiFunMat offers scholarships to support the students' living expenses in Strasbourg or Mulhous. Each year ITI HiFunMat offers 10 scholarships to M1 students, and 13 scholarships to M2 students. Our Scholarships Committee can award this grant to our incoming students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement. Centrale Nantes Elite scholarships - up to a total of EUR3,000 for the two years - are awarded to non-European students accepted into the first year of one of the Master's programmes at Centrale Nantes.

Applications for the scholarship must be completed and submitted online with the Master's application by 28 February 2024.

The scholarship is directly applied to the tuition fee structure of the student in case of acceptance.

Centrale Nantes Elite Scholarship

The KEDGE Business School scholarship is a social scholarship.

This is a financial aid awarded to the students in greatest difficulty. The grant is not automatic: after the student's application, the files are analysed and classified on the basis of household income, thus allowing the selection of students in the most precarious situations. This grant is also awarded to students who, during the current academic year, have had to deal with an unexpected event (loss of a parent's job, death, serious illness, etc.) that has caused a disruption in their daily lives and in the financing of their studies.

The KEDGE social grant concerns all training programmes (except Executive Education). Students who have to pay (or who have already paid) the totality of their tuition fees in the year of application are eligible.

The grant is paid out after all applications have been examined by the KEDGE Scholarship Commission, during the month of November.

The KEDGE Business School Scholarship

The amount of the social grant varies from EUR2500 to EUR3000 depending on the situation.

Open to high profile candidates who have a strong academic record.

Special consideration is given to applicants who own a clear academic and professional merit and can demonstrate the ability to contribute to all aspects of the programme.

Achievement Scholarship EM Normandie

ESSCA's goal is to recognize and recruit the most talented individuals wherever they may be, regardless of their background or financial situation. We acknowledge that the choice to study abroad is not only an academic decision, but also a financial one. Unlike some other business schools, where international students pay a much higher tuition than domestic students, there is no difference between tuition for French and international students at ESSCA.

From 1.500 euros to 2.500 euros. Master's Excellence Scholarship are open to international applicants admitted to the Master in Management (MIM) and Master of Science (MSc) programmes. ESSCA Scholarships Committee will consider academic record, non-academic excellence, eventual professional experience and/or internships undertaken, diversity, volunteer activities and international outlook.

CESI Scholarship of Excellence willl reward the best foreign candidates who will attend our engineering courses. The scholarship will be up to 2,000EUR.

It is designed for students enrolled in CESI undergraduates courses or engineering degrees.

CESI Graduate School of Engineering trains future engineers in Industrial engineering, IT-Computer science, Embedded systems and Civil engineering and Construction.

If you are interested in economic issues and would like to gain additional qualifications for the international job market, the Haniel scholarship programme is just right for you. The prerequisite is a degree; the field of study is not specified.

The programme consists of postgraduate studies abroad and an internship of at least two months. Both have to be organised by the applicants themselves in advance. In addition to classic projects such as MBA or LL.M. programmes, people with their own ideas are also very much in demand. In the past, for example, an architect has already been sponsored for a Master's in Real Estate Development at Columbia University in New York, or an Arabist who completed a Master's in Economics in International Development in Cairo.

The Studienstiftung has been running the programme since 1991 together with the Haniel Foundation, which also finances it.

The PNGS-M&CS Graduate School is designed as an international, high-level curriculum in master and Phd. It builts upon three masters: Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering and Innovation in Images and Networks. Students enrolled in this graduate school will have the opportunity to attend classes from different masters, supplemented by specific classes.

Three research laboratories of the Sorbonne Paris Nord University actively participate in this graduate school: LAGA, the laboratory of mathematics, LIPN, the laboratory of computer science, L2TI, the laboratory for visual information and network analysis and processing. These laboratories form the MathSTIC Research Federation that supports and encourages their interdisciplinary research, and gathers more than 170 professors and full-time researchers.
