Manchester Metropolitan University, often termed MMU is a reputed public university in Manchester, England. The University came into existence after merging various colleges; the prominent ones were Manchester Mechanics Institute and Manchester School of Design. The school was then renamed Manchester Polytechnic.

On 15th September 1992, this renowned school gained university status and was renamed MMU. Since then, MMU has amalgamated more colleges under its Administration. Currently, the university offers numerous undergraduate, three-year UG honors programs, and postgraduate programs to its students.
