Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology, also known as MITT, is a public college that was established in the year 1999 and is located in the city of Winnipeg, Manitoba province of Canada.
MITT was earlier known as the Winnipeg Technical College (WTC). It had around three well-equipped locations that were offering training in Skilled Trades and Technology, Health Care, Human Services, Business and Information Technology. Later on, by June 12, 2014, the name, Winnipeg Technical College was then changed to Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology.
 Facts: 1. The Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology specializes in areas like human services, health care, skilled trades, information and business technology. 2. MITT offers around 25 certificate, diploma and apprenticeship-accredited programs that include various fields like auto mechanics, software development, hospitality management, welding, electronics, mechanic/millwright, hairstyling, graphic and print technician, culinary arts and design, etc. 3. MITT provides great continuing education opportunities that are very useful through its programmes in the Lifelong Learning Institute. 4. It also has various YouthBuild programs that equip many Indigenous learners with trades training and it also runs a huge network of adult learning centres. 5. MITT also owns an ESL school that delivers various language training for qualifying the newcomers.

On-campus facilities: All the students need to prepare their accommodations before the classes start and therefore, it is necessary to find the place beforehand so that you can rest assured. Also, it is necessary to apply and book the accommodation place quickly as the accommodation options fill up quickly. Hence, the university provides On-Campus Accommodations so that the students can comfortably stay in a secured place within the campus. For the international students, the Manitoba Institute of Trade and Technology has a home- stay program for the students who make up around 50% of the school’s full-time students.
