They offer merit-based scholarships for international freshman, transfer, and graduate students and some graduate assistantship opportunities.

• International Undergraduate Students: International first-time freshmen and transfer students coming to Missouri S&T for the 2022-2023 academic year are eligible for the Provost's International Merit Scholarship. Starting fall 2022, eligible incoming students will receive merit awards from $10,000 to $15,000/year. No additional application is required, as the scholarship is awarded based on the application packet.

• Kummer Vanguard Scholars Program: The program is limited to no more than 500 STEM scholars each year. Students from around the world will be selected based on academic and non-academic criteria. Each Kummer Vanguard Scholar will receive $1,000–$3,000 a year for up to four years, and the scholarships may be combined with other university scholarships to provide a broader array of financial support for students.

• Student Financial Assistance: $3,500 per fall or spring semester (minimum 9 graduate credit hours enrollment at Missouri S&T), $1,200 per summer semester (minimum 3 graduate credit hours enrollment at Missouri S&T)
