<p>Monterey Institute of International Studies, currently known as the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey and shortened as MIIS, is a graduate school and a part of the Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont. It was established in the year 1955 as the Monterey Institute for Foreign Studies (MIFS).</p>

<p>Later in the year 1961, the school got shifted to its current location in Monterey. In the year 2005, the institution made its agreement with the Middlebury College for expansion. And finally, in the year 2010, the institution got reframed and marked as A Graduate School of Middlebury College.</p>
