Queen&rsquo;s University Belfast, abbreviated as QUB or Queen&rsquo;s, is a public research university located in the city of Belfast, Northern Ireland. Established in the year 1810 as Royal Belfast Academical Institution, but it received its charter in the year 1845 as Queen&rsquo;s College, and then it received the status of university in the year of 1908. It is one of the oldest, reputed and prestigious universities of the UK. When this institution received its charter in the year 1845, it was associated with other two colleges, namely Queen&rsquo;s College of Cork and Queen&rsquo;s College of Galway. Which were established at the same time. Together these three institutions were called as the &lsquo;Queen&rsquo;s University of Ireland&rsquo;. But later in the year of year 1908, it became an independent university under the Irish Universities Act 1908.

On-campus facilities

Queen&rsquo;s University Belfast provides the facility of on-campus accommodation for the students who are studying at a degree level like UG or PG. Also, accommodation for all the international students is provided with a guarantee. There are around 7 residential houses in which the university provide the accommodation, which are Mount Charles, 76 Malone Road, College Gardens, Willow Walk, Guthrie House, Grant House and Elms Student Village. 
 
Off-campus facilities

If by any reason, the on-campus accommodation facility is not being provided to the students then they can go for the off-campus accommodation facility which the university allows. Students can rent any flat or apartment depending on their budget and interest. The average cost of an apartment ranges between &pound;600-700 per month. Students can also look for sharing the apartment with any of their fellow students. The residence places in the city are all at a convenient distance from the university. As it&rsquo;s a cosmopolitan and the capital city, transportation is not an issue when it comes to reaching the university with ease and convenience. 
 
Food facilities (Availability of vegetarian/Indian food)

&nbsp;To give a very hospitable and homely experience, university also takes care of the food facilities for the students very well. In almost every on-campus residence, the university has its own cafes, restaurants, bars and shops. The main campus of the University also have a very lavish and aesthetically cool cafeteria. While preparing the food, students&rsquo; concerns are kept at a high preference whether the student is allergic or need some special kind of food service. 
For the Indian students who are non-vegetarian, various dishes of chicken and fishes are served in the university&rsquo;s food facilities. Queen's Business School Scholarship

This award is exclusively for new international students beginning their first year of full-time study on the graduate entry Law Senior Status (LLB HONS) accelerated qualifying law degree at Queen's University Belfast in the academic year 2023/24 who meet the conditions of their academic offer.

No separate application for this scholarship is required. If you are holding an offer for graduate entry Law Senior Status (LLB HONS) accelerated qualifying law degree and meet the criteria as set out in these terms & conditions, you will automatically be awarded the LLB Senior Status International Scholarship upon enrolment.
