Santa Barbara City College, so known as SBCC, is a publicly funded community college located in the city of Santa Barbara, California, USA. The community college was established in the year of 1909 by the Santa Barbara High School District, which makes the college one of the oldest beauty colleges in California. During World War 1, the college got discontinued. Then the Santa Barbara State Normal School took over the administration and regulation and reopened the city community college.&nbsp;

The Santa Barbara State Normal School is none other than the current University Of California, Santa Barbara. Later in the year 1946, the community college got reorganized by the High School District, which renamed the institution the Santa Barbara Junior College. But the Santa Barbara Board of Education decided to change its name to the Santa Barbara City College in 1959.&nbsp;

Theatre Facilities:

The Drama Music Building, which was constructed in 1977, was a cutting-edge training and performance facility where young actors, musicians, technicians, and craft people could learn about and test their abilities in the performing arts. After 32 years, the university began a major renovation that brought the complex back to &quot;like new&quot; condition and resulted in numerous improvements for present and future students. Award-winning theatre architect John Sergio Fisher was in charge of the project.
