Selkirk College is a community college type of educational institution which is located in Castlegar, British Columbia, Canada. The institution was established in the year 1966, and at that time it was the very first community college in the whole province of British Columbia. On-campus facilities: Selkirk College offers on-campus accommodation facilities only on its two campuses, which are Castlegar and Tenth Street Campus located in Nelson. The residence dorms of the students are well-equipped with basic necessary utilities like book shelves, desk, fridge, security support, etc. Off-campus facilities: Students can also opt for the off-campus accommodation at the Selkirk College. There are numerous accommodation places around the cities nearby the campuses. Students can rent any flat or apartment depending on their choice and budget. The average accommodation place cost in the region is around CAD 500-700. Food facilities (Availability of vegetarian/Indian food): The college also offers food services on their four campuses Castlegar, Tenth Street and Silver King Campuses in Nelson, and at the Trail Campus. The food service comprises a variety of menu in its breakfast, lunches and evening meals.
