Overview
Solent University started as a Private School of Art in 1856 and expanded as an independent Higher Education Institution in 1989. The university is located in the heart of Southampton city center, just 75 miles from London with good road links and well connected with the rest of the UK. Solent University has a student strength of more than 11,000 from over 100 countries. It is ranked among the top 30 universities in the UK for academic support in the 2019 National Student Survey.

General Information
Scholarships offered at Solent University:
- International Academic Merit Scholarship (AMS): It is awarded students who have demonstrated outstanding academic ability. The value of the scholarship ranges between 1000 GBP to 2000 GBP.
- Direct Entry Academic Merit Scholarship (DAMS): It is awarded to the students based on final results and accumulates. The value of the scholarship ranges between 500 GBP to 1000 GBP.
- Taught Academic Merit Scholarship (PAM): It is a limited amount of postgraduate academic scholarships given to the student based on their grade. The value of the scholarship ranges between 1000 GBP to 1500 GBP.
- Undergraduate Academic Merit Scholarship (UAMS): It is awarded based on academic performance to both domestic and international applicants. The value of the scholarship ranges between 500 GBP to 2000 GBP.
