The ATHENA Scholarship Fund Windsor identifies and provides scholarships to post- secondary students who excel academically, get involved in their community and serve as outstanding leaders, while also assisting girls and women to achieve a better quality of life and reach their full potential as community leaders. Applicants must meet the 
following criteria:

be between the ages of 18 and 30 years
be presently enrolled full-time (attending primarily during the day) in a college or university
have spent a significant and substantial period of time (at least 16 months as of April 29, 2022) in Windsor/Essex County.
Students may be male or female and must demonstrate academic excellence, community involvement and be engaged in leadership activities. Most importantly, they must have increased the leadership opportunities for women by mentoring, role-modelling and leading activities that help women reach their full potential.

CAEL CE is the leading academic English proficiency test for study in Canada and proud supporters of international students in their Canadian academic experiences.
Two scholarships worth $5,000 each will be awarded to two international students; one to an international student currently studying in Canada, and one to an international student currently studying overseas.

Specialist High Skills Major Scholarship

As an ally and resource to the membership, UFCW Canada is committed to providing opportunities to improve the future of members and their families. One initiative we're particularly proud of is the Beggs-Dowling-Mathieu Scholarships Program which over the past two decades has awarded more than $250,000 in scholarships to UFCW Canada members and members of their families. Each year UFCW Canada offers 18 annual Beggs-Dowling-Mathieu Scholarships of $1,000 each to active members and their family members for post-secondary study. The Bruce D. Curtis Scholarship, funded by We Care, is presented to former We Care Ambassadors who are pursuing post-secondary education or relevant trade training. Students are eligible to receive a $1,000 scholarship, for up to 4 years ($4,000 total) for each year they participate in post-secondary or trades education.
