Swinborne offers its students On-Campus Accommodation in the form of Dorms/Rooms

Campus

In the Malaysian Qualifications Agency&#39;s Level System for Higher Education (SETARA) for 2009, 2011, and 2013, Swinburne Sarawak was rated Tier 5: Excellent, the highest rating given to any university. Kuching city centre is around 15 minutes away which gives students access to the main city as well.

Conclusion

Swinburne International Excellence Undergraduate Scholarship

Students enrolled in undergraduate courses are eligible for the Swinburne International Excellence Undergraduate Scholarship. Students who received a minimum of 60% in their prior study course are eligible for a course cost reduction ranging from 10% to 75%.

Swinburne International Excellence Postgraduate Scholarship

This scholarship offers international postgraduate students a 10% to 75% savings in tuition fees for two years. Depending on the courses and study year, the scholarship amount ranges from AUD 1,000 to AUD 2,500. In the last study course, students were needed to have a 60 per cent acre.

Swinburne International Alumni Direct Grant

Undergraduate and postgraduate students are eligible for a scholarship ranging from AUD 21,000 to AUD 38,000 based on academic success and whether or not their parents are Swinburne alumni.

Financial Aid

The 16.5-acre city campus is located about 10 minutes from the city centre in a fantastic location. It presently has over 2,500 students, but it is predicted to rise to more than 3,000 by 2009 and 5,000 in the next three years.

The institution now has state-of-the-art classrooms, laboratories, computer facilities, and recreational facilities, thanks to the completion of its RM110 million extended campus in August 2008.

Swinborne University is located in the beautiful city of Kuching.&nbsp;

Kuching is noted for its laid-back attitude, clean and safe environment, proximity to nature, and friendly residents. In addition to the national language Bahasa Malaysia, English is widely spoken, as are other languages like Bahasa Sarawak, Mandarin, Cantonese, Tamil, Hindi, and others.

Kuching, a contemporary city with over 600,000 people, offers a superb blend of modern conveniences and natural beauty. The beach, rainforest, mountains, and caverns are within 30-45 minutes of a city with affordable and good healthcare, modern shopping malls, public utilities and infrastructure, a diverse selection of food and beverage outlets, sporting facilities, and variety of entertainment alternatives.

Location

Internships&nbsp;

Swinburne University permits international students to work while attending classes. During the semester, students are permitted to work 20 hours per week, and during holidays, they are permitted to work full-time or 40 hours per week. To work in the country, international students must have valid work-study permission.

Job Placements

Some Swinburne degrees need required placements as part of the accreditation process. Swinburne has a strong history of working with major companies and organisations, which welcome Swinburne students every year.

Kuching has a tropical rainforest climate that is moderately hot but humid at times, with a lot of rain. The weather in Kuching varies from 19 &deg;C (66 &deg;F) to 36 &deg;C (97 &deg;F), but the average temperature in the morning is around 23 &deg;C (73 &deg;F) and climbs to around 33 &deg;C (91 &deg;F) in the afternoon. Throughout the year, the temperature is nearly stable.
