It became a member of the Texas A&amp;M University System in 1989. On-campus Accomodation:

Texas A&amp;M University offers on-campus student housing in the USA, however, students can also choose to live off-campus.&nbsp;University has four residence halls. Students can take a 360 tour of all the halls through the college website.&nbsp;Each hall may include the following:

	<li>Basic furniture and furnishings are provided. Each hall contains a communal lobby, a washing room, a vending area for soft drinks and snacks, a small kitchen, a television area, a study area, and a television area.</li>
	<li>Living in a residence hall has several advantages, including several opportunities to participate in campus events. The student will improve his or her leadership skills, learn other key life skills, form lifelong connections, and have fun participating in purposeful activities by participating in hall activities.</li>
	<li>Some of the residence halls are Lucio hall, Lynch hall, Martin Hall, and Mesquite Village West.</li>

Off-campus Accomodation:

The university has a resident policy that requires all students to live on campus, however they will be automatically excused if they live with a parent or legal guardian within a 50-mile radius of Kingsville, as determined by the Department of Housing and Residence Life. Other students must complete a housing exemption form.

Medical Services:

International students on an F1 or J1 visa/status are required to purchase the System Student Health Insurance Plan (SSHIP) unless they have an have an alternate health insurance plan approved through the waiver process.&nbsp; J-2 dependents must be covered by health insurance as per the United States Department of State regulations.

The majority of Texas A&amp;M-6,357 Kingsville students are from South Texas, but the student body is diverse, with students from 40 states and 35 countries. At Texas A&amp;M-Kingsville, merit-based&nbsp;scholarships to study in the USA&nbsp;are automatically awarded to at least 50% of admitted students who have excelled academically in high school. Students must apply for admission to Texas A&amp;M-Kingsville and complete their application for admission, including the submission of all supporting documentation (application, application fee, official transcripts, and test scores*) by the January 15 priority date to be considered for a merit scholarship.
