Deutschlandstipendium (Germany Scholarship) - 

• The Deutschlandstipendium is a government initiative to support high-achieving students.
• It covers half of the funding amount through private sponsors, with the other half provided by the federal government.
• TU Clausthal actively participates in this program and seeks sponsors to offer scholarships to outstanding students.
• Both German and international first-year students, as well as those in higher semesters, can apply.
• Selection criteria include academic performance, social engagement, financial need, migration background, awards, and initial practical experience.

Overview of Funding Opportunities - 

1. RWE Power Engineers Study Funding - For students in higher semesters, RWE Power offers the "Power Engineers" master's degree program, allowing students to combine study and practice. This program is available for students in the fields of mechanical engineering, process technology, electrical engineering, mining/resources, physics, nuclear applications, industrial engineering.
2. Steel Institute VDEh Study Funding - Students pursuing degrees in materials science, materials engineering, or metallurgy can receive monthly support.
3. MTU Foundation - This foundation provides funding opportunities for students majoring in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, and industrial engineering.
4. SMS Demag - Students studying mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, metallurgy, materials science and materials engineering, business administration, or industrial engineering can apply for funding through SMS Demag.
5. Bayer Foundation - This scholarship is available for students in their main course of study and recent graduates in fields such as biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, chemistry, chemical engineering, pharmacy, and physics.
6. Ernest Solvay Foundation - The foundation supports young scientists in the fields of chemistry and chemical engineering.

Education Loans - 

• For students in advanced stages of training, education loans are available alongside or in addition to BAföG benefits.
• These temporary, low-interest loans are not dependent on the trainee's or their parents' income and assets.
• Borrowers can choose monthly installments and repay after a specified period.
