The University of Europe for Applied Sciences, or UE for short, is a world-renowned university that offers courses in fields of Business, Sports, Media, Art and Design. Its previous name was University of Applied Sciences Europe when it was formed in 2017 following the merger between the Business and Information Technology School and the Berliner Technische Kunsthochschule.
A private university, it was previously owned by Laureate Education, an American enterprise. In 2018, Global University Systems acquired the university and two years later its name was officially changed to University of Europe for Applied Sciences. Facts: 1. Students are offered free language courses during the first semester. 2. Students can transfer campuses if they need to and can also participate in a student exchange program with 60 partner universities worldwide. 90 nationalities are represented in the EU student body. 3. UE Career Center works with students to prepare them professionally and also helps with placements. 4. The university is also offering trial lectures for prospective candidates.

About

On-campus facilities: EU Hamburg provides accommodation options to their students but these are not on-campus and are run by a private company that offers accommodation facilities to EU students at reduced prices. You can request more information from student services. Off-campus facilities: Private renting agencies can be contacted online in case you are looking to secure a place by yourself. Depending upon your budget and need, you can opt for a private flat or a shared apartment in a location closer or a bit distant from the campus. We also recommend that you take into account the cost of daily commute while planning on renting a place at considerable distance from the campus. Food facilities (Availability of vegetarian/Indian food): The study experience abroad might be wonderful but the sweet or spicy taste of Indian food is something no experience can match. If you are homesick during the course of your studies, you can opt for one of the many Indian restaurants located in the campus vicinity. Restaurants like Shikara and Maharaja are great places to begin.

North Texas counts with a group of professors who are committed to their job and mostly to the research projects, of course there always positives and negatives but that also depends on the perspective of the students. However, one thing that can't be debated is that professors are knowledgeable, respectable, and always available offering academic help. Financial Aid

Size of campus : 3 Facilities: The Hamburg campus offers modern facilities that are available for student use not only during but before and after lectures as well. The campus has a whole range of studios for students in the Art and Media courses. These include: Animation, Green Screen and Photography Studios, a TV Studio, a Radio Studio, and a Sound Studio. There is an Editing Room and equipment library and students can also borrow state-of-the-art equipment and Macs if they need it.

Place description: Hamburg, or the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg as it is known officially, is both a city and one of Germany’s 16 federal states. It is the second largest city in the country and the seventh largest city in the European Union. The city was once a member of the medieval Hanseatic League and was a sovereign city state before the German unification in 1871. The city has had its fair share of catastrophes. After the Great fire of Hamburg, North Sea Flood of 1962 and bombings during the second world war, the city managed to get back on its feet, stronger than before. The city holds Europe’s third largest port and is also a well-known tourist destination. Important landmarks/places nearby: One of the very first things you will learn about Hamburg is that it is a beautiful place to be in. When you step out to explore the city, you will see scenic and man-made spectacles in complete harmony. Places like Ringelnatztreppe and Boller are perfect examples of that. Neuer Jungfernstieg is perfect to take a walk in solitude or in the company of friends. Places like Brooksfleet and Alster Fountains are also located nearby. Crime rate: Hamburg’s overall crime rate is 44.08 and is classified as moderate. Based on the level and type of criminal offense, the crime rate varies from low to moderate. Since it is a tourist destination, it is considered relatively safe, however a few areas are discredited. You can research more about the crime rate statistics of Hamburg before making a final decision. Nearby Airports: The campus is located such that it is just a 30 minute drive away from the airport. The airport in question is the Hamburg International Airport which you will be well acquainted with whether you are taking domestic or international flights. Nearby Subways and train stations: The nearest train station is Königstraße, located 4 minutes away from the campus. There are also quite a few subway stations (U Feldstraße, St. Pauli and Schlump) near the campus but all of them are a 10 minute drive away. The nearest bus stops are at least 10 minutes away as well so distance is no longer a deciding factor. We recommend you choose transportation for your daily commute based on your comfort and budget.

Location

Internships: Students are allowed and encouraged to look up for internship opportunities on their own through the career portal called JobTeaser. Through this portal, students can directly apply to companies of interest and can book appointments with a single click. While an internship isn’t necessary, all interested students can register themselves and look for work experience while studying.

Placements

Summers in Hamburg as a sight to behold and cherish. You can plan outdoor activities to spend the warm and comfortable summer days in bliss. The winters are chilly with some snowy days sprinkled during the winter season. The average temperature stays between the range of 30°F to 73°F.
