General Information

Bursaries and work-study programmes are among the financial assistance options available to international students at the University of Calgary. To be eligible for these financial support, international students must satisfy specific criteria. External scholarships are available for international students studying in Canada.

  • Every year, about 40% of new students are eligible to receive a scholarship, prize, or bursary. If you have a past academic score of 95% or more, you are eligible for a CAD 5,000 scholarship.
  • For prior diploma scores of 35 or higher, International Baccalaureate students are given CAD 2,000.
  • Prestige prizes range in value from CAD 39,000 to CAD 1,000,000.
