The University of Indianapolis (UIndy) is a private United Methodist Church-affiliated university in Indianapolis, Indiana. It offers Associate, Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral degrees. It was founded in 1902 as Indiana Central University and was popularly known as Indiana Central College from 1921 until 1975. In 1986 the name was changed to University of Indianapolis.
The main campus is located on the south side of Indianapolis at 1400 East Hanna Avenue, just east of Shelby Street. The campus straddles the Carson Heights and University Heights neighborhoods of Indianapolis. UIndy's international sites include joint programs with Ningbo Institute of Technology (Zhejiang University, China) and Zhejiang Yuexiu University of Foreign Languages, an articulation agreement with University of Nicosia in Cyprus. Previous international sites included the University's Campus in Athens, Greece and an extension site at Galen University in Belize.
The university's colors are crimson and gray. Its athletic teams, known as the Greyhounds, are members of the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) in the NCAA Division II.

<ul><li>UIndy provides on-campus accommodation to all the students which are comfortable with all the modern facilities.</li><li>The university has eight residence halls. Some of them are:<ul><li>Roberts Hall</li><li>Central Hall</li><li>East Hall</li><li>CravenHall</li><li>Warren Hall</li><li>Crowe Hall</li><li>Cory Bretz Hall</li></ul></li><li>All the residence halls at UIndy have free laundry facilities, free parking, common areas, kitchen, ice and vending machine and front desk staff.</li><li>The rooms have all the basic amenities with bed, dresser, desk, desk chair, wireless internet connection, cooling and heating units.</li><li>The on-campus stay also includes meals. There are 4 levels of meals available which range from 5-19 meals in a week.</li></ul>

<ul><li>University of Indianapolis offers financial aids in the form of Scholarships, Grants, and Loans.</li><li>There are other options for international students to fund studies in the US as well.</li><li>The university offers many merits and needs-based scholarships to international students. Some of the freshman academic scholarships are:<ul><li>Presidential Scholarship- Full Tuition fee waiver annually</li><li>Dean's Scholarship- 16,500 - 22,500 USD</li><li>Engineering Scholar's Awards- 14,500 - 17,500 USD</li></ul></li><li>Undergraduate Students are also provided Church matching scholarships and First-gen Scholarships.</li><li>In addition to university scholarships, departmental scholarships are also available.</li></ul>

Financial Aid

<ul><li>The university runs many organizations and events to make the placement procedure simpler, students can easily interact with the employer and get internships and career opportunities.</li><li>Approximately 57% of the students are full-time employed and around 11% of the students have secured part-time employment.</li><li>Remaining 32% of the students opt for higher studies in the respective fields.</li></ul>
