The University of North Florida (UNF), located in Jacksonville, Florida, was founded in 1972 as an upper-division college for juniors and seniors but began taking first-year students in 1984. The semester-based academy is part of the State University System of Florida. It is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award doctoral, master&#39;s, and baccalaureate degrees to students.
