University of Stirling is a public university established in 1967. The pathfoot building, which was the first building to get completed was completed in 1968 and originally housed the theatres, offices and classrooms in addition to the iconic &lsquo;crush hall&rsquo; where the university displayed its collection of contemporary Scottish Art. In 1970 few steps were taken towards development of Cottrell Building which was named after the university&#39;s first principal. By the time universities evolved, courses were introduced and improved. The Dementia Services Development Centre, and the Colin Bell Building was completed in 2003.
