<p><b>The University of Tulsa</b> (<b>TU</b>) is a private research university in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It has a historic affiliation with the Presbyterian Church and the campus architectural style is predominantly Collegiate Gothic.
</p><p>The University of Tulsa is classified among "R2: Doctoral Universities – High research activity". It manages the Gilcrease Museum, which includes one of the largest collections of American Western art and indigenous American artifacts in the world. In 2016, Tulsa acquired The Bob Dylan Archive and is developing a museum nearby in downtown Tulsa to display pieces from this collection. TU also hosts the <i>Tulsa Studies in Women's Literature</i>, founded by former TU professor and noted feminist critic Germaine Greer (now at the University of Cambridge).

Tulsa's faculty included the famous Russian poet and dissident intellectual Yevgeny Yevtushenko until his death in 2017. Current faculty include psychologist Robert Hogan, political scientist Robert Donaldson, Catholic philosopher F. Russell Hittinger, computer scientist Sujeet Shenoi,former US Congressman Brad Carson, and "2010 Big Brother of the Year" Art Rasher. Noted artist Adah Robinson was the founder and first chairperson of the University's Department of Art. Considering the department of Engineering , Computer Science, Business Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services; Biological and Biomedical Sciences; Health Professions and Related Programs; and Psychology, the university has excelled in all of these departments and these are compared among the same departments of top-notch universities in the States. There are few faculties which are quite approachable and some students seem to be friendlier to them more than their actual friends. The student-faculty ratio at University of Tulsa is 11:1, and the school has 61.7 percent of its classes with fewer than 20 students.

Founded in 1894, the campus of the University of Tulsa centers on a wide, grassy, quad-like space known as Dietler Commons, formerly called "The U." The predominant architectural style is English Gothic. Most of the buildings are constructed from tan and rose-colored Crab Orchard sandstone from Tennessee. The campus comprises a total of 200 acres in an urban setting and it is incredibly attractive, and only seems to be getting better as time goes by. All of the buildings have a very uniform look and feel, and are all very pleasant to look at.

The University of Tulsa is located in the second largest city of Oklahoma that is the centre of commerce and industry flourishing with culture and arts with some of the largest art museums and opera and ballet companies. Tulsa, popularly known as former oil capital of the world due to its imports hubs of American oil industries is now 47th most populous city in the U.S. Tulsa was settled between 1828 and 1836 by the Loachapoka Band of Creek Native American tribe and holds a population of about 403,000 as of 2015 census. Tulsa is where there are wide streets and rolling hills, a river running through the western side of the city and plenty of green spaces. The place is not known only for its outskirt beauty but also for its food and its fun-loving atmosphere. The city might not seem as upbeat and fast-moving like other State's city but it is much more fun to be laid back at Tulsa. The campus of the University of Tulsa centers on a wide, grassy, quad-like space known as Dietler Commons,The university's campus borders Tulsa's Kendall-Whittier neighborhood and is not far from Tulsa downtown and midtown neighborhoods. The campus, in particular its football stadium Skelly Field, is located on the historic U.S. Route 66, America's "Mother Road" stretching from Chicago to Los Angeles. Tulsa’s entertainment options include pro sports, fine and performing arts, festivals, zoos, a water park, bike and hiking trails, rivers and lakes.

Generally, in Tulsa, the summers are hot and muggy; the winters are short, very cold, and windy; and it is partly cloudy year round. Over the course of the year, the temperature typically varies from 30°F to 94°F and is rarely below 16°F or above 102°F. Tulsa has a temperate climate of the humid subtropical variety with a yearly average temperature of 16.0 °C. Primarily in the spring and early summer months, the city is subjected to severe thunderstorms containing large hail, damaging winds, and, occasionally, tornadoes. On average, May is the wettest month, averaging 5.9 inches of rainfall. The autumn season is usually short, consisting of pleasant, sunny days followed by cool nights. There have been incidents of floods here which have caused some serious damage, but city has come up with a lot of new flood safety plans which will be helpful for future casualties. The climate is pretty hard to adapt to and sometimes it is extreme, but generally throughout the year it is cold and people from South-Eastern region should carry warmer clothes if you are planning for Utulsa.
