Overview
Fairmount College is a Congregational college, founded by Wichita State University in 1895. The college was renamed the Municipal University of Wichita in 1926, making it the first municipal university west of the Mississippi River. The current name of the university was given to it in 1964. The Kansas Board of Regents has granted WSU affiliation.

General Information
Wichita State University awards 700,000 USD scholarships to overseas students per year. However, all of the scholarships are merit-based, and none are available through financial aid.
- The Global Select Scholarships are also available to overseas candidates.
- The program gives 36% and 38% tuition savings for undergraduate and graduate students, respectively.
- Students' scholarship eligibility is determined by the university's Office of International Education.
