<p>Widener University is a private-funded university located in the city of Chester, Pennsylvania, USA. The university was established in the year 1821 as The Bullock School for Boys in Wilmington, Delaware, with the objective to provide high school education to the aspiring native students. The instituion went through many modifications and renaming between 1846-1892. But after 1892, the institution was renamed as Pennsylavnia Military College by the General Charles Hyatt.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In the honor of Eleanor Elkins Widener, who was a very generous donor and supporter of the college, the institution was renamed officially to Widener College and thus became a member of the prominent Widener Family of Philadelphia.&nbsp; Finally in the year 1979, after widely recognition,&nbsp;the college received its university charter and became the Widener University.&nbsp;</p>
