Terms and Conditions:

Scholarship applicants will be notified by email to schedule an interview.
Scholarship winners will be contacted by email if their scholarship application has been approved.
To receive the scholarship, winners must pay their full tuition deposit within 10 days of being awarded the scholarship.
The Country Specific Scholarships will be awarded 6 weeks after the start of the intake and have no cash value. They will be paid over two terms as a credit on the students' tuition account, Aprox 50% for the first term and 50% for the second term. Students must remain enrolled to be eligible.
The Ambassador Scholarship it will be paid over two terms as a credit on the students' tuition account and has no cash value, $2500 for the first term and $2500 for the second term. Students must remain enrolled to be eligible.
Students must enrol and stay enrolled for the May 2022 term to qualify. Students who withdraw or defer to a later term at any time will not qualify.
Scholarship recipients agree to have their names and scholarship values posted on WLIC social media.
Recipients of the Ambassador scholarship will be required to take part in select WLIC marketing and promotional events while they are a WLIC student. This may include things such as creating videos, taking part in seminars, promoting WLIC on social media, etc.
The scholarship cannot be deferred to future intakes.
Scholarships cannot be combined with other scholarships.
Limited number of scholarships available. The scholarship application closes when all scholarships have been awarded.
Scholarship winners will be selected based on the creativity and sincerity of their submission.

CAD5,000 Ambassador Scholarship

Country-Specific Scholarships Up to CAD4500

Applicants must:

Be currently studying full-time;
Have been studying full-time (i.e.: minimum 1.5 academic credits) and have achieved competencies in all courses across their current program (for which the scholarship is applied for) in semester immediately prior to the semester when the scholarship is being awarded;
Not have any outstanding fees on their student account;
Not have previously received an Academic Distinction or Academic Merit scholarship nor had a scholarship or bursary from Navitas withdrawn.
Not be receiving another Navitas scholarship in the same semester of consideration for this award. If the student is short-listed for multiple scholarships, the student will be awarded the one of greatest value.

CONDITIONS:

The scholarship applies to academic studies completed for an undergraduate program with WLIC. Students are liable to pay for the remainder of their semester course fees.

Successful recipients will not receive any money from Navitas member institution. The value of the scholarship will be recorded on the student's tuition account during their semester of study for an undergraduate program with WLIC.
Scholarships are not transferable to other students or Navitas member institutes in any circumstances.

Navitas member institutions reserves the right not to award all or some of the scholarships in a given year.

Scholarships cannot be backdated.

Selection will be based on:

Nominations received from WLIC instructors, identifying students who have shown improvement in classroom 

citizenship/academic ability or have overcome adversity to be successful in their studies

The Scholarship Selection Committee will award the scholarships based on the quality of nominations, as determined by personal circumstances and academic performance

Additional factors such as educational disadvantage, member of specific equity group and/or significantly adverse personal circumstances may be taken into account where the scholarship selection committee must differentiate between equally qualified applicants.

Outcome of scheduled interview (if required).

Resiliency Award Scholarships

Applicants must:

Be currently studying full-time;
Have been studying full-time (i.e.: minimum 1.5 academic credits) and have achieved competencies in all courses across their current program (for which the scholarship is applied for) in semester immediately prior to the semester when the scholarship is being awarded;
Not have any outstanding fees on their student account;
Not have previously received an Academic Distinction or Academic Merit scholarship nor had a scholarship or bursary from Navitas withdrawn.
Not be receiving another Navitas scholarship in the same semester of consideration for this award. If the student is short-listed for multiple scholarships, the student will be awarded the one of greatest value.

Academic results will be based on the Semester Grade Point Average (SGPA) on full-time studies from their previous semester of study. Should multiple students have identical academic results, the scholarship selection committee will refer back to marks awarded within each subjects/course to ascertain the scholarship recipient
Student awarded the Academic Distinction Scholarship in the same term will be disqualified from contention for the Exceptional Academic Performance Scholarship
Additional factors such as educational disadvantage, member of specific equity group and/or significantly adverse personal circumstances may be taken into account where the scholarship selection committee must differentiate between equally qualified applicants

Applicants must:

Have been studying full-time (i.e.: minimum 1.5 academic credits) and have achieved competencies in all courses across their current program (for which the scholarship is applied for) in semester immediately prior to the semester when the scholarship is being awarded;
Not have any outstanding fees on their student account;
Not have previously received an Academic Distinction or Academic Merit scholarship nor had a scholarship or bursary from Navitas withdrawn.
Not be receiving another Navitas scholarship in the same semester of consideration for this award. If the student is short-listed for multiple scholarships, the student will be awarded the one of greatest value.
