Dublin City University came into existence in 1975 with Liam Mulcahy as the director. Later in 1977 he was replaced by Danny O&#39;Hare for the next 22 years. Since its construction in 1975, the University has expanded and various buildings have been added like the Henry Grattan building in 1981.
