Kent State University (KSU) was established in 1910 as an institute for training public school teachers. Initially, it was known under the name of Kent State Normal School in 1911 in honour of William S. Kent, who donated 53 acres of land used for the original campus. Later in 1915, the school was renamed Kent State Normal College due to the addition of a four-year degree. 
With the efforts of Jhon Edward McGilvrey, the first president of what we now know as Kent State University, the school later gained the status of University in 1935.

Off-Campus Accommodation

The university can&rsquo;t provide enough accommodations for every student on-campus. Most of the students opt to accommodate around campus. Off-campus accommodations are available and start from around $500. The cost of rooms depends upon the services you take and several other factors as well. The cost can go up to $1200.

Part-time jobs 
With an F1 student visa, students are allowed to work for 20hrs/week during the session and 40hrs/week during off-session. Although students need to work on-campus. If a student wants to work off-campus, they are allowed but, things become more complicated. KSU is a public research university in Kent, Ohio in the United States. The university was established in 1910 and since then, it underwent several changes. Currently, it has several campuses operational in the US and also internationally. They provide undergraduate and post-graduate degrees. But, mainly they are known for their research work. Chico is a city in northern California. It is home to massive Bidwell Park, with woodland trails, a golf course, and an observatory. The city of Chico was founded in 1860 by Jhon Bidwell. Chico is generally called Paris of California as well as Rome of California. It was home to a significant Chinese American Community.
